Halal certification

A patchwork of UK halal marks

Dozens of private certification bodies issue their own halal logos and stickers. There is no single UK standard — and stunned versus non-stunned rules differ between schemes.

About this research

Why this site exists

This website is a summary of research conducted by Catherine Blaiklock. When Robin Tilbrook and Catherine started this project, neither had any idea as to the extent of halal meat being supplied across the UK.

Catherine has done the research and the fundraising. Robin is conducting the legal work for the judicial review. Both have worked entirely for free.

To bring a proper judicial review is expensive. Any support is welcomed.

Support the judicial review

Bringing a judicial review on religious slaughter is expensive. Your donation helps fund the legal work needed to challenge the abuse of the Slaughter of Animals Act 1933 exemption.
